Matthew Kossack is pleased to be a part of such an exciting new company, and to be working with such a talented board. A former competitive Ice Dancer and member of Team USA Figure Skating, he was the 1997 National Novice Ice Dance Champion, and a member of the 2000 World Junior Team. He developed a passion for Theatre while earning a BA in English from Boston College and has appeared in shows throughout the Boston area including: Urinetown: The Musical (Lyric Stage Co. of Boston), Swing! (Acting Up Theatre Company), A Chorus Line (Encore Theatre Company) and The Who's Tommy (Core Stage Company). As a choreographer he has worked on productions of A New Brain (Longwood Players), big: The Musical (Open Door Theatre), Urinetown: The Musical (Newton Country Players), Joseph…Dreamcoat (The Performing Arts Connection) and Peter Pan (Bishop Cooperative Theatre). He also designed movement for thirty stomping rhinoceroses in Eugene Ionesco's Rhinoceros, and for a Greek chorus of firemen in Max Frisch's The Firebugs, both with TheatreZone. Matthew currently works as a freelance performer, choreographer and teacher, and is a Theatre Espresso company member, touring educational dramas to schools throughout the greater Boston area. He was raised in Buffalo, NY and currently lives outside of Davis Square, in Somerville.
